A fierce, sus tained north wind was blowing off Lake Michigan this morning making the cold nearly too much to bear after only a few minutes spent facing into the wind while shooting.It took great effort to stay there until I was satisfied I'd gotten the shot but as I've learned, beautiful photos are rarely captured in the most comfortable of situations.
One day the the painfully cold hands, numb face and burning eyes will be long forgotten but in this photo the beauty of the morning will remain.
